Money Heist: One Quote From Each Character That Perfectly Sums Up Their Personality

Characters like Tokyo and Nairobi have some unforgettable lines in Money Heist. But which one of these quotes speak volumes about their personalities.

Stockholm: “If You Don’t Do This Now, You’ll Regret It For The Rest Of Your Life.”

Mónica Gaztambide’s journey from being the feeble secretary of the Royal Mint of Spain to becoming one of the bravest characters in Money Heist has been a treat to watch for fans. This line, which she says to Denver in the eighth episode of part 2, is a message to herself as well.

9

Rio: “Every Day, I’d Wake Up Wondering If It Was My Last.”

In the part 3 episode, “A Quick Vacation,” the gang finally gets Rio back after months of being tortured by the CNI. Rio is the youngest among the group and is obviously the most naive and innocent. His story arc has been particularly painful to watch, as even during the first heist, his heart broke when he saw how much he hurt his parents.

Denver: “My Life Is Like A F**King Commercial.”

Denver is one of the most popular cast members of Money Heist, in large part due to his iconic laugh and carefree personality. He’s a positive guy who sees the best in people and finds hope in the worst situations. Throughout the show, he’s transformed by his relationship with Stockholm, turning the carefree guy into a fiercely loyal family man.

7

Helsinki: “It Takes Much More Courage To Be In Love Than It Does For War.”

Helsinki is easily one of the more lovable characters on the show thanks to his kindness and sensitivity. In the fifth episode of part 4, he finds himself caught in a chaotic situation where things are becoming increasingly dangerous around him. This is the same episode where his best friend, Nairobi, tragically loses her life.

6

Palermo: “Lovers Suffer A Lot.”

In part 3, the episode “Boom, Boom, Ciao” shows just how much Palermo has suffered from Berlin’s death. In a tense exchange with Nairobi, Palermo explains why love always ends in heartache and why it’s better to just have sex without any attachments.

5

Berlin: “Death Can Be The Greatest Opportunity Of Your Life.”

Berlin played a crucial part in planning the heist with the Professor, leaving fans with burning questions about volume 2 of Money Heist despite only being shown in flashbacks after his death. He wasn’t the most well-loved character, as his wit and charm couldn’t fully mask his heinous actions.

4

Lisbon: “Lisbon. My Name Is Lisbon.”

In the first episode of part 3, Tokyo isn’t convinced that Lisbon deserves to be part of the gang. She confronts the former inspector, who has been with the Professor and is hiding with him in the Philippines. However, Lisbon stands her ground – the decision she made to switch sides wasn’t an easy one, after all.

3

Professor: “I’m Offering You Resurrection, A Second Life.”

The fifth episode of part 5 highlighted exactly how the Professor began recruiting the talented robbers. The smartest character in Money Heist is the central figure that holds the entire gang together – without him, the legendary heists would have never happened.

2

Tokyo: “In The End, Love Is A Good Reason For Everything To Fall Apart.”

Tokyo is Money Heist’s most polarizing character, but most fans will agree that her heartbreaking death in part 5 was a terrible loss for the robbers. While her courageous sacrifice doesn’t make up for all of her mistakes, viewers who do like the character understand that even her worst actions were coming from a place of love.

1

Nairobi: “To Love, You Need Courage.”

Nairobi’s death was undeniably a shocking moment that hit fans hard. There was an outcry after the loss of this well-loved character, and for a good reason. In the fifth episode of part 3, Nairobi says this now iconic quote in response to Palermo’s cynicism and cruelty.
